By June 1997 there were strong pressures to introduce managed care in southern states. I was concerned that groups like Kaiser and Aetna would be eyeing Australia. FIRB was in the process of assessing Sun Healthcare and Sun had managed care subsidiaries. I wrote to FIRB again.
